Alpha Chi Alums Spend Foliage in New England
What do you do when one of your Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters moves 3,000 miles across country to New Hampshire? You gather your sisters together from East and West to converge upon the local sights, experience the beauty of New England Foliage season and warm her beautiful home with Alpha Chi love and laughter.
There were so many wonderful moments that our hosts, Kathy and John planned for us, that it's going to be hard to capture them all in one blog post. Our hostess with the mostess, Kathy, made us all feel immediately welcomed with a big pot of hot chili and soup simmering on the stove which warmed us all up immediately upon arrival. We looked around to discover all the ways she thoughtfully decorated her gorgeous 1800's-era Colonial home with all kinds of cute surprises. We each received wonderfully curated goody bags featuring local goods of all kinds in a bag decorated with - what else - but a lyre.
A few Greek Happy products, even appeared, including a personalized Alpha Chi banner flag, Alpha Chi mugs and personalized Alpha Chi notebooks, all grabbed from the Greek Happy website.
One of our thoughtful West Coast Alpha Chi Guys sent our group dozens of Red Carnations, the Alpha Chi flower, with a lovely note to let his wife, Karen know he was thinking of her. How sweet!
We were pretty busy during our stay with a ton of fun activities that were planned ahead for us to enjoy. Here we are with local wellness coach, Teresa Marchese, leading us around the Farm to enjoy some fresh air, mindfulness and exercise.
We'd usually wrap up the evening playing a fun card game like the Monopoly Deal or the Code Names game. There were also some of the usual shenanigans, which shall remain undocumented, but it was so much fun for us all to be together in one big house, as it truly did feel like we were back in the sorority house, again.
We celebrated a special someone's birthday!
We even had our own entertainment from our talented sister, Teri Bond, who sings regularly at venues around the Los Angeles area.
And, while there was one minor misstep (watch out for those woodchuck holes!), our bond of sisterhood was ever present, as sisters cared for yours truly in the most kind and loving way. And, it was proof, once again, that our sisterhood remains strong after all of these years and that Laughter is indeed the best medicine.
See you again, soon, New England! And, many, many thanks to Kathy, John, Mia and Memphis and the wonderful people of Jaffrey!

Such beautiful words that brought the wonderful weekend to life! How special our sisterhood and friendships are. Reading this, I am reminded how unique it is. I won’t take it for granted… ever.
